News – Spring 2025
We have had a busy start to the year at Ryan Hill, with refurbishment projects and community events running in addition to our regular onboarding of tenants and maintenance of properties.
Our team have been working hard on our existing tenant find and managed property portfolio, helping our landlords and students access their information through our property portal. Our tenants and landlords can access everything from EICR’s, maintenance reports and rental payments through our app, and view them as they are updated in real time. We are also in the process of onboarding new landlords, so look out for more properties arriving on our website soon!
This month, our director attended a seminar discussing the Renter’s Right’s Bill (formerly known as the Renter’s Reform Bill) that is now being discussed in the House of Lords. We as a business are dedicating ourselves to learning how to remain compliant with this new legislation and are preparing our team for the proposed changes. In the coming months we will be communicating with our existing landlords, encouraging open discussion about the proposed changes to the industry, and ensuring our managed properties are prepared for any new laws and regulations. Several of our refurbishment projects are ongoing; with 11 Broad Street’s renovations now nearing completion. The project saw a complete renovation of the building to comply with new fire regulations; and the fitting of a new kitchen and a floorplan review to improve the flow of the property for tenants. These works are expected to conclude by June 2025, ready for a new set of tenants for this coming academic year.

Recently we have donated a prize to the Loughborough Student’s Charity Fashion Show, held on Friday 28th February. A student led campaign raising money for Falcon Support Services and Ovarian Cancer Action, the campaign is still available to donate to here: Loughborough Students Charity Fashion Show | givestar
We are proud to be sponsoring and attending the Supercar Event at Ratcliffe College this June, raising funds for Alex’s Wish: a charity supporting children and young adults living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
